Oprah Winfrey decided to get back in front of a live audience to do what she does best: inspire and motivate people to live their most fulfilled life. Winfrey combined her entire portfolio of media outlets – her magazine, cable network and Harpo production company – and joined forced with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment to create an eight-city tour. WME decided the tour would be much more impactful with a traveling sponsor village to both enhance the mission and add value for the guests.

Each sponsor needed to ensure its tent was both on brand and evocative of Oprah’s tour-mission. We were able to bring LeadDog’s vision of the village to life, which helped ensure each sponsor’s brand was properly represented and the design of its offering matched the tour’s brand and mission.

The event we did for Oprah marks our first multi-city traveling tour. Initially, we were only tasked to provide the technical drawing for the event but a shared vision with our client garnered a one-team partnership and before we knew it, we were adding production management, fabrication and lighting to the list.

In an unprecedented five weeks, we assembled an amazing team of talented crew members and designed and produced a sponsor village fit to travel across the country. The sponsor village was comprised of 12 tents, each representative of one of the many sponsors in both theme and service. With the support of our team, we fabricated 120 wall panels, placed over 250 pieces of furniture, hung 200 pictures & 500lbs chandeliers, put up a video wall and ran power throughout the entire village which produced a successful tour visited by over 125,000 people. Our client was elated; we imagine Oprah was too.
